Events Coordinator

  • Plan and execute office-wide events (SXSW, Game Day, Take Your Kids To Work Day, Summer Party) with minimal guidance from designated Event Lead.
  • Assist with negotiations for space contracts and book event space, arrange food and beverage, order supplies, equipment and signage.
  • Own coordination for office programs (Lunch Bunch and Round Up)
  • Manage FB ATX-branded swag ordering for tent pole events and new employee onboarding
  • PO creation, supplier enrollment and role-related expenses
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, providing logistics support and planning to ensure smooth implementation of events within allocated budget and timeline
  • Assist with managing on-site execution, including vendor management
  • Liaise with support contacts in Austin offices: events team, Facilities, Security and other cross-functional groups.
  • Responsible for post-event reporting, event metrics and analysis.
  • Manage allocated event budget 
  • Strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple projects
  • Attention to details, analytical approach to solving problems
  • Capability to problem solving – anticipating, initiating and resolving issues
  • Comfortable working under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
  • 5 years event experience
  • Passion for building culture and morale across teams in high growth environments
  • Experience in project management & events budget management
  • Excellent communications and negotiation abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • A team player with leadership skills
