Project Manager - ENS Documentation

The Infrastructure Services and Operational Support (ISOS) team designs, implements and continuously evolves systems and processes to support all aspects of network and data center operations. In this role, you will work closely with Facebook program managers, network and software engineers, key Infrastructure business stakeholders, and end users to devise and deliver technical knowledge and documentation solutions for products, processes, and business problems.


This position is based in Menlo Park, California.




  1. Partner with engineering, knowledge management, PM, other stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify documentation needs.
  2. Lead end-to-end product and program documentation projects from requirements definition through publication in a variety of formats including but not limited to: Product Requirement Documents, code repositories, wikis, run books, instruction manuals, user guides, flow charts and other diagrams.
  3. Write and edit documentation content as needed and requested.
  4. Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational standards and contribute to standard creation and revision discussions/efforts where appropriate and necessary.
  5. Identify opportunities for tooling and automation as it relates to improving documentation across ENS engagements.
  6. Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) initiatives as appropriate to ensure documentation needs and plans are established at the proper stage gates.
  7. Develop training materials for ENS and internal/external partner teams when new systems, products, tools, topology designs, etc. are introduced into production

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven project management, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space.
  • Ability to adapt, learn new skill sets, and gain an understanding of operational challenges.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with focus under pressure.
  • Must be proactive with proven ability to execute on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Independent and thorough in examination and analysis, along with being consensus-building and results-oriented.
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating within a global, cross-functional team.
  • Organization and time management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Data center, hardware, and/or server infrastructure experience
