Program Manager, Marketing Associate Esports (8850672)

The Esports Program Manager supports and coordinates Oculus’ effort in esports and works with its partners and vendors to bring VR esports events and channels to life. This individual will plan, coordinate and execute all esports initiatives across the company. This contractor role sits within the Oculus Marketing Community Programs team and will work in the Facebook office in Menlo Park, CA.



  1. Be the VR League program manager, driving end to end planning, execution, measurement and reporting for all VR league events and channels.
  2. Track budget spends across various programs and vendors. Work with finance and operations teams to plan, forecast, procure, reconcile, and close expenses and assigned budgets according to policy.
  3. Ensure all VR League communications and information across web, email and social is accurate and up to date.
  4. Communicate with the Oculus publishing team and Oculus developers.
  5. Track community sentiment and be up to date on real-time conversations happening about the VR League and VR esports.
  6. Work with Oculus XFN collaborators (legal, finance, procurement, operations) and external partners to draft, manage and execute contractual agreements.
  7. Coordinate with marketing operations, IT, and QA and maintain up to date documentation on best practices.
  8. Own the digital asset management including tracking and approvals for all esports content and assets ensuring on time deliverables. Maintain asset database for the VR League.
  9. Work with communications teams to coordinate all PR announcements for VR League.
  10. Work with the external partners to expand VR esports to various events and locations.
  • 2-4 years experience product, partner or program marketing. Experience in PC gaming, esports, consumer technology, or adjacent vertical markets a plus.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer software skills, including MS Office, Keynote, Quip and CMS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Passion for esports and familiarity with digital entertainment.
  • Availability and willingness to travel.
  • Grace under pressure.
