Community Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, product-focused, empathetic Community Manager for two standalone apps currently in development as part of New Product Experimentation, a group within Facebook focused on learning fast by launching new products. The teams building these apps are in both NYC and the SF Bay Area and candidates would ideally be in, or relocate, to one of the two cities. An ideal candidate has strong empathy for the creative process and great attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities for this role include:

● Working with early testers (largely creatives) to help get them set up with the products

● Browsing content created and curating the best of the best

● Thinking of and carrying out initiatives to engage the creative communities that form around each app

● Answering questions and collecting/triaging bugs encountered by users

● Producing reports on community sentiment, top feature requests, and top issues

● Partnering closely with product team stakeholders to develop interesting community-focused marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

● 5-9 years of experience in community management or creator engagement

● Experience working with product teams to ship early stage products

● Demonstrated interest in empowering creators to express themselves

● Passionate about creative expression, either via music and/or visual arts

● Experience engaging with and building community on social media platforms (not just experience running a social media platform)

● Bachelor's degree in communications or equivalent
