Wireless System Test Engineer

We are seeking a Wireless System Test Engineer to support development of wireless connectivity technology for AR/VR products to support the best user experience. The successful candidate will be part of a team that includes algorithm, user experience, software, firmware and silicon experts.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the wireless integration and test environment. They will build testing automation & framework to drive team to deliver optimal firmware and software stacks function with excellent reliability. This is a full-time position based in either our Redmond, WA or Menlo Park, CA offices.

 

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end firmware test infrastructure development to support testing of wireless system protocol and performances.
  • Review firmware, hardware and IP architectures to ensure testability evaluate integration risks.
  • Develop software and related tools to automate testing of a large variety of interfaces, including PCIE, MIPI, USB, Wireless, etc.

Minimum Qualification

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of software and test experience with at least 1 year related to embedded systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data acquisition systems and diagnostic equipment, such as oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Excellent software design and programming skills and understanding of how embedded systems work, including common bus protocols, such as I2C, SPI, USB, and/or PCIE.
  • 1 year of working in wireless technologies and good understanding of WiFi/BT and networking protocols to be able to debug effectively wireless connectivity system-level issues.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video codec and compression standard is a plus.
  • Experienced in integration and testing for a complex system.
  • Established knowledge of real time systems, and/or low power systems.
  • Hands-on coding experience with peripherals such as UART, SPI, CSI-2, i2c, GPIO, USB, PCIE
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA and hardware evaluation boards, EDA design tools, and/or ISA simulators

 

 

What are the top non-negotiable must haves needed to be successful for each position?

  • Experience of writing automatic test scripts is a must.
  • Prefer to have experience on working with Oscope/logic analyzer, power meter, wireless sniffer, etc.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required; graduate degree preferred
