This position is specifically for the Facebook Marketplace team based in Seattle, WA. is on a mission: To connect people through commerce. Inside of Marketplace we have several teams with the Consumer to Consumer (C2C) pillar being one such team. The C2C pillar is comprised of two different product teams - Core C2C and Buy Sell Groups (BSG). The C2C pillar mission is to understand and grow the buyer and seller ecosystem on the Marketplace Tab and Buy Sell Groups. Shipping is a brand new product that the team is building this half. It spans the entire purchasing funnel from discovery, buyer checkout and post purchase experience, and seller payments on-boarding and payout experience.
We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated UX Researcher to lead C2C shipping research. The role would involve concept validation and uncovering gaps in the buyer and seller journey as it relates to shipping For this position, we are looking for a range from qualitative specialists to methodological generalists, with broad skills in qualitative and design research methods and an understanding of quantitative concepts. This position is based in our Seattle office.
This UX Researcher should enjoy leading research for a product and be able help drive research roadmaps and prioritization with support from a manager.
Work closely with product teams to identify research topics Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes. Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
BA/BS degree in marketing, or a human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.) MA / PhD preferred. Experience in applied product research
