Research Program Manager (IV)

Facebook is seeking a Research Program Manager for its AI User Research team. Research Program Managers implement global operational systems, connect teams and knowledge, and problem solve operational hurdles to enable researchers to do their most impactful work. This particular role will lead strategic planning and operations in support of the Facebook AI User Research team. As the team’s first program manager, they will be responsible for setting up operational processes to onboard new hires, enable ongoing reviews with leadership, and improve team and cross-functional communication.



The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about user research, resourceful, thriving from working in a cross-functional environment, managing projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. Excellent communication skills, ability to manage complex logistics, and a highly organized approach are mandatory. Background in strategy and consulting are a plus. This is a contractor position based in our Menlo Park office.


  • Manage the execution of quantitative and qualitative research studies
  • Deliver insights and areas of opportunities and strategize the program roadmap.
  • Design quantitative and qualitative research to answer key business questions and drive strategy development.
  • Own the execution of global surveys.
  • Questionnaire design.
  • Sample selection to reach target quotas.
  • Survey programming and testing.
  • Response tracking.
  • Data processing.
  • Conduct deep dives and analyses to identify opportunities and gaps.
  • Manage/prioritize research requests from business teams.
  • Communicate and partner with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives forward and achieve business results.
  • Work across global teams to ensure research is representative of different geographies.
  • Quantitative/qualitative market research experience, including survey design and execution.
  • Experience utilizing data and analytics to formulate program objectives, solve business problems, and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • 1+ years experience working with UX research required
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • 4+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience, client or vendor management experience a plus
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree
