Equipment Engineering Technician

 

Facebook AR/VR Display and Optics Group is seeking a capable and dynamic semiconductor equipment engineering tech to join our Pilot Cleanroom facility in Redmond, WA. Your job will be to support a world-class operation tasked with developing and scaling segment defining components. You will be responsible for supporting the equipment engineering team for a large Pilot facility ensuring the teams have the resources and support available to meet product milestone objectives and support product development.  You will be an individual contributor reporting to an equipment engineering process team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support of a specific wafer fab sector for sustainment of daily operations and development activity
  • Assist performing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment
  • Collect metrics (Availability, MTBF, Variability) to drive improvement activities on hardware, maintenance, and overall operation
  • Work closely with team engineers to prioritize job tasks
  • Support root cause failure analysis
  • Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives, which may include attendance in classes, seminars, vendor training
  • Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
  • Document all work performed on equipment
Must Have/ Non Negotiable 
  • 3 + years experience in high volume semiconductor euipment environment
  • 3+ years direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods
  • Candidate must be comfortable navigating and operating computers
  • Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials

 

Nice to Have/ Wish List

 

  • Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required

 

  • AA Degree w/ 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent technical certification
  • Military experience in electronic avionics
