Program Administrator, Trusted Partner Program (9889109)

Duties

Facebook is looking for a skilled Program Administrator with experience in government, international development, or the public interest sector, to join our Content Policy team. Content Policy is the team that creates policies to govern what people can share on Facebook and how advertisers and third-party developers interact with the site.

As Program Administrator, you will be responsible for understanding the global landscape of Internet-related advocacy groups, academics, think tanks, activists, and non-governmental organizations, and their priorities and concerns regarding content and accounts on our platforms. You will help develop a program for engaging with and supporting collaboration with these stakeholders in regards to the enforcement of our Community Standards. You will develop a strategy for expanding and maintaining relationships in this area. You will work with worldwide NGOs and thought leaders to provide education on our content policies, and to enhance usage of our in-product reporting mechanisms. You will work with colleagues across the globe to take regional context into account for program design. 
You will work with a highly talented and experienced team of subject matter and regional experts on content policies for Facebook and Instagram. You will be responsible for understanding both Facebook and Instagram’s business priorities, and for designing and maintaining a program that best serves the company and the people who use our services.

The successful candidate will be an experienced program manager, communicator, organizer, and presenter. This person will provide insights that contribute to the shaping of Facebook's external relationships in the US and international markets, in relation to our product policies. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve.

This contractor position located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Build program for engagement with a range of stakeholders on content policy enforcement
  • Develop relationships with international organizations relevant to management of enforcement program
  • Communicate to external stakeholders our policy decisions around specific pieces of content
  • Educate stakeholders on how to identify potentially violating content and report it using out product tools
  • Develop strategies for supporting civil society organizations to enhance reporting of content using our product tools
  • Develop tools and metrics for measuring the impact of the program and external engagement in the policy field
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams at Facebook to increase transparency around our content policies and our approach to content moderation
  • Represent Facebook's Content Policy team in external engagements

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 8+ years of experience in a program management or public policy field
  • Experience working with governmental or non-governmental organizations relating to program development and coordination
  • Experience in funding and administering local stakeholder engagement initiatives
  • Experience with project management and design
  • Experience with establishing processes and metrics to measure policy programs
  • Experience articulating policy positions in external settings
  • Experience prioritizing projects and interacting with different levels, both internally and externally

Preferred:

  • Experience in collaboration between technology companies and the civil sector

Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in law, journalism, policy, international relations, international development, business, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent field
  • Preferred: Post-graduate degree in public policy, international development, communications, law, business, computer science, or related field

 

This will be a 12 month contract.
